Feliz Cumpleanos (Happy Birthday), Nathan Daniel!

A few days ago our son Nathan Daniel had his first birthday. Happy Birthday, Little Buddy!

A few weeks ago we sent him a care package, hopefully in time for his birthday. It included a few outfits, a card (en espanol), and a Winnie the Pooh bear.

Recently someone from our agency visited some of the children in Guatemala, including Nathan. They took some great pictures. He seems very happy and more handsome than ever. In some of the pics you can seem him walking with assistance. We figure he'll be running and bouncing off the walls soon. Hopefully, he'll be home before he reaches full speed!

The report from our agency also talked about his sleeping and eating habits. He's not sleeping all the way through the night yet, but he likes to eat fruits, vegetables, etc. His favorite food? Eggs and black beans.

In a very real sense, we have been ready to hold him in our arms for three years, but now we're finally starting to get his room ready. We came up with a design and picked out colors for what used to be four drab walls. Now he's got stripes! Uncle Nathan (with a little help) painted it for us this week. He still has some touching up to do, but it already looks great. It's a relief to see it coming together. We will post some pictures of his room soon.

Please pray that Nathan's court case will move quickly through the last stages of the process.
