SNOW and CAKE

Snow plus Cake equals ... a very fun weekend
First, the snow

was beautiful. It blanketed everything,

so we put on our layers (every shirt and pair of pants this boy owns plus his John Deere boots),

and went out to play!
Everyone made a snow angel.




Nathan loved walking in the snow

and looking at the snow

and walking in the snow

--not so much falling in the snow--

giving hugs in the snow,

and especially walking and holding hands in the snow.

That in itself would make a perfect weekend, but there was more. There was CAKE!

We treated the birthday girl to a fancy cake from the coolest store in the boro.

It looked very pretty,

and although we were impressed

it didn't take long

before we tasted how good it was.

It was so good, we had to share it with Nathan.
Um, yeah, he liked it.

Later in the day we had some more good, silly play time.

This little boy loves hats. We had gotten our hat bin down before we went outside. After lunch he started bringing hats from the bedroom to the living room, one by one,and gradually piled them on

his mommy's head.

Nice hats, mommy. Happy Birthday!
